She is married to American tennis player Andy Roddick.

She comes from a small town in South Africa called Somerset West, her mother, Felicity, is an english teacher and her father ,Jan, is a dentist. She has two siblings who are 3 years her junior (Ruan and Amee), they are twins.She started modeling at 14, starting off in London, Tokyo and Paris after she finished high school.
She was on the cover of the South African Sports Illustrated Swimwear issue in 2007 as well as GQ, 3 covers for Cosmopolitan (2003, 2004 and 2009), Shape, Biba and many more. Her big break happened when she was chosen as one of the rookies (and first South African model in the magazine) in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue that hit the shelves on the 9th of February 2010.
